Low maternal folate status is recognised as a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus. Each tablet provides 400μg of folic acid, the amount recommended by the UK Department of Health for women planning a pregnancy, during conception, and for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Folic Acid also contributes to the normal function of the immune system, normal blood formation, and the process of cell division. In addition, it supports normal psychological function, amino acid synthesis, and helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue. These tablets are suitable for both vegetarians and vegans and contain no artificial colours or flavours.

WARNINGS
